Project Name: Sage Creek High School

General Contractor: Balfour Beatty

Electrical Value: $7,400,000

Project Description:

Sage Creek High School is a unique campus with an emphasis on an environmental learning experience. The conceptual design emphasizes the balance of man-made environment with nature. It was a challenging electrical installation due to the selected building materials and the extreme elevations.

The high school is built on a 56-acre site and consists of 5 multi-story buildings totaling 139,000 s. f. Due to site elevations; each building had a subterranean level. The buildings include a kitchen, library, gymnasium and locker rooms, science labs, classroom, and administration offices.

Site work included the track and football fields, stadium lighting, press box and a 150-space parking lot.

This project met California High Performance School (CHPS) certification. And, Gould Electric received the CAL/OSHA Golden Gate Partnership Recognition for our effort in implementing and maintaining an effective Injury and Illness prevention program.

Gould Electric was awarded Subcontractor of the Year for this project from the San Diego Chapter of the Associated Builders and Contractors (ABC) and a Pyramid Award from ABC National.
